When purchasing a property in Mallorca it is very important that once you have decided to purchase get the advice from a lawyer and an architect if property should need refurbishing. There are many instances that when one purchases they don´t know what you are buying. There could be outstanding debts on the property, illegal square meters, not registered correctly, etc…..if not cleared correctly the new owner becomes the bearer of these problems. Believe me, it is better to clear all of these misunderstandings before it is too late…..buyer be wary…..!
