In the last few years there has been a surge in property prices that being that Mallorca has become a safe haven to invest in. The influx of foreigners from all nationalities has been astounding. The great majority is still dominated by Germans, British and Scandinavians primarily. We have other nationalities but in a smaller scale. These buyers are interested in good “areas”. They are not buying all over Mallorca but in specific areas. Those that are most demanding like the South west of the island, Palma Old Town, North East and East of the island. Other areas are considered but have not surged as much. There will be a price increase in the forthcoming years but eventually even out……so now it is a good time to purchase a property!
